![]() Kelly Jordon Classic # 4 Kelly Jordon might be America's hardest working bass pro. He competes on both the BASS and FLW Tours as well as the BASS E-50 Tour. Kelly fished an amazing stretch of 10 tour level events in 11 weeks this past Spring and won a spectacular event at Lake Santee Cooper with a near record winning weight. During this past tour season, Jordon was the number one ranked angler in the world, according to BassFan.com's poll and has earned over $500,000.00 in his career. He has won three tour events in his career, Lake Wheeler (2001,) Lake Gunthersville (2002) and Santee-Cooper (2004.) June 27th (Sunday) "I hated to leave Lake Champlain, (Final FLW Tour Stop) I cashed a check there 73rd place but I caught a ton of fish. The Lake Champlain event is kind of like a Pro's vacation because the fishing is so good there. Even so, the weather was very difficult, high winds, rough boat rides, what else is new? I stayed to fish Friday, when the finals were taking place and I just slayed them, maybe twenty pounds! My problem at Champlain is that I lost too many big fish
|
I lost a four pound
small mouth and a four pound large mouth on the first day, or I would
have made the cut. Two pounds separated 10th and 75th place on day
one, you can't lose fish like that and expect to make the cut. Oh
well.
I am almost to North Carolina, I should be there this afternoon. Five days of practice for the BassMaster Classic and then I am home! I haven't been home in four weeks, this has been a grind. I have never been to Lake Wylie, I hear it has lots of docks and the quality of fish is suppose to be pretty good. I also hear that the water is really up. That's what I know up to now." |
