Please read with interest, the comments that I have listed below.  The following manifesto will serve as a guide for all Americans who love the kind and gentle creatures that inhabit this green Earth of ours.  Those creatures, who provide smells and goodness that make a morning walk in the meadow a pleasure.  Those creatures who need our protection from the hideous ones among us who would eat them systematically.  Those creatures who cannot defend themselves, and in fact, cannot even run from danger because they are rooted in the ground.

I am talking of course, about the lovely fruits and vegetables.  Please accept this invitation to join with me in protecting the ethical rights of our green, leafy friends.

Nighswonger-Today I am announcing the formation of a new group, bound to protecting the fruits and vegetables of the world.  P.E.T.A.A.V. is People for the Ethical Treatment And Advancement Of Vegetables, (and fruits as well.)

In the kitchens and back rooms of America, terrible things are being done to the most harmless creatures on our planet.  These poor, defenseless organisms are being tortured, murdered and eaten by Vegans and Vegetarians all across this country, it is an epidemic!

Have you ever seen what these people do to the poor, harmless tomatoes?  These people arrive at the tomato village, sometimes called a field, early in the morning while the unsuspecting tomatoes are still sleeping.  Then, after assembling, these "pickers" chase down the helpless tomatoes and pluck them from the ground!  The tomato is yanked from it's Mother Earth, piled in boxes, and shipped to far away places.  The beautiful ones are sent to the produce section to be displayed and exploited, only then to be bought by some terrible human, who wants only to slice it into pieces and devour it in a salad.  The average tomatoes have a much crueler route, as they are packed in dump trucks, jammed in, with no room to move or even stretch out.  The stench in those trucks is horrible as they motor the poor, unsuspecting victims to the tomato soup plant.  I don't have to tell you what these ugly humans do next to the tomatoes, do I?

Have you ever heard a potato cry?  It is a sad, moaning cry, that haunts you in the early evening hours.  A potato is murdered in the most inhumane manner.  Dropped into a vat of boiling water, as "steamed potatoes," or worse.......mashed potatoes!  The horror!

At least the green broccoli has a defense of sorts.  A green broccoli has the ability to unleash a horrible smell, thus making a kitchen at least, temporarily uninhabitable.  Good for the broccoli, go get them brother!

The onion also has a defense, being able to at least bring it's murderous human to tears, as the monster peels it layer by layer.

I could go on about the sick, twisted habits of so many humans in this country, but I will spare you the details.  Join me, join me I say and we will save the fruits and veggies!  The next time you see a Vegan or Vegetarian sitting at a salad bar, walk right up to him and throw his ranch dressing in his face.  Let the ranch dressing symbolize the dripping cytoplasm that is robbed from the vegetable as it is left to die on some vegetarian's dinner plate.

I implore you to join our movement.  Where ever fruits and vegetables are eaten with a knife and fork, we will swarm to.  Wherever defenseless potatoes live in fear, we are there.  Who so ever taketh the life of vegetable or fruit, let the ranch on your mouth symbolize the blood of thousands of dead fruits and vegetables!  Join P.E.T.A.A.V. today!  Onward Righteous Soldiers!
