ProBassAnglers.com Press Conference with The Ultimate Universal Visionary
  Keith Nighswonger's Brush Pile
The following press conference took place Tuesday morning, January 24, 2005 at 7:00 AM est, (I was still sleeping at that time, because I live on the West Coast.)  The text of the press conference was included in a hand out to all who attended the press conference and was intended to be printed in it's entirety.

ProBassAnglers.com accepts fully, the opinions expressed here, on account that they are the opinions of our Ultimate Universal Visionary, and while we may not agree with him, he is our boss, and we do like to eat, so what choice do we have?

The topic of today's press conference is FLW's new policy of charging "competing web sites," for the use of photos that were as of last week, free to news sources.

The following transcript is a prepared statement from The Ultimate Universal Visionary of ProBassAnglers.com.

UUV-Thank you all for coming today on such short notice.  My fellow Americans.  I am here today to speak of some bold new directions for ProBassAnglers.com.  In these confusing, changing times, an entrepreneur, who is running the good path towards success and fame can face the proverbial pot holes in the road.  Just when you think that you are about to reach the big time, the big time crushes you like a bug trying to cross the road.

It is not however, the crushing of that bug, as it tries to cross the road that matters.  Instead it is how that bug reacts to the adversity of being crushed in the road, that will measure the true character of that very bug.

Now, let's say, that our friend the bug, gets run over by a semi tractor-trailer, as it is crossing the road, (the bug of course.)  If that bug lays hopelessly in the road saying, "woh, I have been run over, whatever shall I do?  I guess I will just die and get eaten by some bird."  Well then, that just shows you what kind of character that bug has.  That bug, by the way, will never be our friend, because he is worthless and weak.

Perhaps on the other hand, after being splattered all over the highway, our hero, the bug, pulls himself to the side of the road, reattaches his antennae, (I have heard some bugs can do this,) dusts himself off and says, "OK world, now you have made me mad."  This bug is our inspiration here at ProBassAnglers.com.  This bug is a true hero in every account of what a true hero is.  This bug, will be the force that will shape our character from now on.

Today, we are that bug, that so boldly crawled out of the traffic and put itself back together again.  He was not Humpty-Dumpty, that pathetic egg-head who, after sitting on a wall and having a great fall, simply could not get himself back together again.  No, we are that bug, that preservers through it's own tragic adversity of being smashed on the highway, only to reassemble it's own spirit and come back to ......well, ....to bug you.  And bug you we will.

Today, I proudly pledge to you my fellow Americans.  That while we may have been run over by a truck, we are not smashed beyond recognition. We are back and ready to bug you now, more than ever.   There are those who don't want you to know the truth.  There are those, who want to paint you a picture creating the illusion of truth.  There are those who want you to continue to walk that path of self promoting press releases, patting themselves on the back and saying, gee aren't we great.  Ladies and gentlemen, so long as ProBassAnglers.com can muster a breath, we will fight to bring you the truth about the things you care about, the truth about the things that matter and the truth about those who claim that they are telling you the truth, even though it is only their version of the truth.  Like that bug, that crawls into your ear in the middle of the night and begins to build a nursery for it's young, ProBassAnglers.com will continue to be the rock in their shoe, the treble hook in their finger, the scrape on their knee, and the wet toilet seat in the middle of their night.  In other words.....business as usual.

Thank you for your time today.  No questions please.
