ProBassAnglers.com Press Conference with The Universal Visionary
  Keith Nighswonger's Brush Pile
The following press release was released Saturday morning, January 20th, 2007. The text of the press conference was included in a hand out to all who attended the press conference and was intended to be printed in it's entirety.

ProBassAnglers.com accepts fully, the opinions expressed here, on account that they are the opinions of our Ultimate Universal Visionary, and while we may not agree with him, he is our boss, and we do like to eat, so what choice do we have?

The topic of today's press conference is Copyright infringement involving ProBassAnglers.com's BrushPile

The following transcript is a prepared statement from The Universal Visionary of ProBassAnglers.com.

UV-Thank you all for coming today on such short notice.

ProBassAnglers.com, here by, announces that we have secured a copyright on the phrase, "planting brushpiles."  Any use of that phrase, in print, audio or video will be considered a breach of our trademark, and we will pursue the user with aggressive legal tactics.  Furthermore, BrushPile, is our brand, and nobody may use it, without the express, written permission of the Office Of The Universal Visionary.

The BrushPile is the Brand associated with our communist, er, columnist, Keith Nighswonger, who routinely "plants" his written commentaries in his column.  Therefore, since he "plants his BrushPiles," anyone else who plants brushpiles is committing a breech of our brand.

At this time, our lawyers are involved in no less than 12 cases involving people, especially in the Southeastern part of our country, who have taken the liberty of planting brushpiles in their local impoundments.  This blatant disregard for our brand name, is insulting and it is illegal.  To boldly post an article on an internet message board or to publish an article on the subject of planting brushpiles in a magazine or journal, does more than just rub our faces in the fact that these people have no disregard for our property.  It jeopardizes our good name and reputation for quality journalism.

Thank you
