In recent times, the bass fishing community has witnessed some of it's leaders taking prominent roles in the race for the White House and, not to be outdone, Nighswonger is making his endorsement for 2008 known today.
The following transcript is from Nighswonger's Press Conference held Monday morning, February 4th..
UV-Thank you all for attending today.
PBA-It's only me sir, you said not to invite anyone else.
UV-Ah-hum, well, be that as it may, I have called you all together today to announce that I am going endorse a candidate for the 2008 Presidential election. I am very excited, as this marks my first venture into the political arena. After checking with my staff, and doing an extensive presidential exploratory fact finding investigation, I have made my decision to endorse the candidate that I believe will take this country into the new decade, and who will lead us to prosperity.
Now, you may ask, "what virtue do I possess that would make my endorsement one of value to any political candidate." As Universal Visionary of ProBassAnglers.com and all it's properties, my increasingly growing exposure has led me to a position of great prominence within this community's landscape. Furthermore, in my position as Universal Visionary, I am expected to be one who sees beyond the day to day existence of ordinary folk, kind of a, how should I say.......

UV-I was thinking more of a Prophet, or Spiritualist.
PBA-Perhaps, "crackpot."
UV-Yes, well, I can certainly understand why you wouldn't grasp this. Anyway, in my position, I have a responsibility to lead those who count on me, look to me for guidance, and want to cast the same vote that I will cast.
PBA-Who will this candidate be that you are endorsing?
UV-I, Keith Nighswonger, Universal Visionary of ProBassAnglers.com and all it's holdings and properties, do here by endorse Trent Huckaby for President in 2008.

UV-Tent Huckaby is a man we can all count on to bring this country out of these grave, recessionary times. He is a leader that will know what to do as we continue to battle international terrorism on all fronts. He will lead us to prosperity, and help reshape health care so that no baby will ever have to face a world with inadequate medicine or medical benefits...
PBA-Wait a minute, time out, I think you mean...
UV-Tent Huckaby is a man of action, and a man of conviction. He is self made, a good decision maker, and he will not be easily compromised by big business and those sneaky, Washington DC Lobbyists.
PBA-Sir, Trent Huckaby is a bass fish....
UV-I believe that Trent Huckaby can return this great country of ours to what it once was...
