You've read the Brushpile for some time now, and look at you...you're ok.  Outside of that nervous tick, some abdominal spasms and a bit of nausea, you're just fine.  This week Keith Nighswonger descends on the unsuspecting people of Florida, to give us his first hand account of the 2006 Bassmaster Classic.  This week's Brushpiles will have a definite Classic tilt to them and we bet you will find them interesting.  By his own admission, Nighswonger is off to find the stories that you won't read about anywhere else.  If you go to the Classic, you may not see him, but rest assured he will be watching you.  There is no telling where he will show up, so be on your best behavior...... You've been warned!

2/20/06 The Hibdons Just Keep Going And Going...-BASS just held it's Junior World Championship yesterday and the winner was a fellow with a name you might recognize.  He caught five bass that weighed in at 9-07 and is non other than Payden Hibdon, son of Dion and Grandson of Guido.

Guido who won the Bassmaster Classic in 1988.  Son, Dion who won the Classic in 1997 and now Grandson, Peydon who has won the Junior World Championship, (which is also called the "Kids Classic.")  Is it just me or does a Hibdon win something big every 9 years?

Someone might want to go to Missouri and find out what's in that water.  Find out what momma Hibdon puts in those Hibdon boy's breakfast.

We have several father son combinations in professional bass fishing today.  Denny and Chad (Brauer,) Roland and Scott (Martin,) Gary and Derek (Yamamoto,) and of course the Hibdons.  The Hibdons are the only father-son duo to both win Classics.  The bass fishing world better take notice, because it looks like at some point we will be talking about the father-son-grandson trio of Guido, Dion and Peydon!
