I didn't want to get caught on the outside looking in, without getting a prediction in, too many big things going on to miss this chance.  So here goes.

O.K., let’s start with the Bass Clubs and the “Federation” format of fishing.  I think they are actually going to be better off because of the situation that currently exists.  I predict that the “Federation”, (I’m not sure the name will be the same), will reorganize and regroup with the affiliated clubs.  The format will change, with more incentive for the Clubbers.  The Clubbers will have a chance to win more and achieve more than the current format.  I predict the “Federation”, through its Club based membership will produce some real top notch fishermen that will eventually make the “show” and become super stars of tomorrow.  I predict that the “Federation” will partner with corporations that have people already in place with the vision and knowledge to support and lead the “Federation” to the level that these fishermen deserve.  You know that these Fishermen are the backbone of the BASS fishing industry.  The manufacturers, sponsors and related industries will not allow a group this large to be cut adrift, I predict.

The lines seem to be clearly set for what I am going to call the “semi-pro” anglers.  I predict the weekend one or two day format will be reorganized.  Whether it is BASS or FLW, that type of event is positioned to grow back to the proportions we witnessed in the earlier years of Tournament fishing.  I predict that this format will be necessary for the semi-pro to be able to hone their skills to become a super star in the “show”.  I predict that these semi-pros will use this format not only to obtain the fishing skills necessary to become a star but the business side also.  I predict that the business side required for these fishermen to become “Professional Bass Fishing Stars” is going to become increasingly more important.  I predict this level will reorganize and gain in support.  This is all necessary as these fishermen are groomed to make it to the “show”.  I predict the fans will require some type of media coverage, so they can watch and anticipate the arrival of their fisherman world of the new “Super Stars of Bass Fishing”.

Alright, there are a lot of predictions, now we are going to finish this thing up.  Let’s talk about the “Show” or maybe even the “Show’s”.  I think that’s what they call it in the baseball minor leagues when you step up to the majors, going to “show”.  Well that is precisely where we are, at this point in Professional Bass Fishing.  We were fuming about how the changes were rampant and the good old days were going away and the Federation was treated wrongly, the fishermen were being treated wrongly and so on.  I predict while we were busy fussing, the powers that be were gathering up all the best supporters and Pros and put them on the launching ramp in their respective rockets, (BASS, FLW), and we didn’t notice but the launch has occurred.  Yep, I predict that the players are in position to bring us the real show.  We will have real Bass Professional Super Stars, groomed to perfection, confident, flashy, but real full time Pro’s with plenty of backing.  That means money, product and business support.  I predict that we have not yet seen media coverage to rival what is coming, for these Pro’s.  I predict some more of the older guys will retire.  They have the skill, but the pace will get too intense.  The process has changed to become a true “Super Star” of bass fishing, but that is how it is.  These guys will be rich and famous.  Fan base of old and new, even some fans picking their Fisherman, with maybe favorites and some not so favorites, like NASCAR.

Yep, it has all changed.  This change was necessary for the evolution of the sport, but it did come with mostly corporate and sponsor directions.  They have a plan and the money, why don’t we sit back and watch as the NEXT real level of the Bass Professional emerges on our TV screen and enjoy.  I predict it will be big.
